Young Adult Fiction
The Lies About Truth – Courtney C. Stevens – HarperTeen – Published 3 November 2015
I wasn’t sure what to expect when I started The Lies About Truth. For some reason I predicted teen drama, relationship issues and triviality. I could not have been more wrong. This book is absolutely breathtaking. Well written and with an incredibly strong heroine, this book gently whispers to you until you are entangled in its story, laughing and crying, loving and learning. Summer days and grief, friendship and love. Pack a box of tissues, because this is one heartbreaking, and yet so very enjoyable, journey. Full Review.

Ten Thousand Skies Above You – Claudia Gray – HarperTeen – Published 3 November 2015
Ever since she used the Firebird, her parents’ invention, to cross into alternate dimensions, Marguerite has caught the attention of enemies who will do anything to force her into helping them dominate the multiverse—even hurting the people she loves. She resists until her boyfriend, Paul, is attacked and his consciousness scattered across multiple dimensions. Book Two in this series promises to be thrilling. And just look at that cover…
Young adult fiction: Science fiction.
This book is about a girl from 2015 and a boy from 1925. When they first meet on their (shared via the centuries) private beach neither at first realises they hail from different centuries. As they continue to meet, and quickly fall in love, they soon discover that there may be more than just time that wishes to keep them apart.
I didn’t love this book. It was readable, just not totally believable. But I know plenty of people have loved it so if lovers divided by time is your thing, then check it out. Full review.
