Books that have been made into films display

film-display

There are many, many, many books that have been turned into films. Recent ones that pop into my head include The BFG, Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, Inferno, The Girl on the Train, Alice Through the Looking Glass, and of course Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them.

This display highlights titles that the students might recognise from the movie or prompts them to rediscover an old favourite.

This display mainly consist of book covers. Lots and lots of book covers. Who knew there were so many books with movies? And I still find myself re-shelving books and thinking, oh I can add that one to the film display. I added a few film roll images at the top and painted a cinema banner with window paint.

I also created popcorn boxes and attached them to the window and added yellow window paint for popcorn (and yes, it is yellow it just looks fluro green, something the kids love to point out.) Hanging from the lights above the circulation desk are more book covers and mini popcorn boxes.

It is a bright display that catches peoples’ attention and gets them talking about books.
