Professional Learning Opportunities October 2022
I’m not sure what it is about October, maybe the Northern Hemisphere returning to school, but the amount of professional learning opportunities out there seem pretty epic at the moment.
PASSIONATE ABOUT SCHOOL LIBRARIES
I’m not sure what it is about October, maybe the Northern Hemisphere returning to school, but the amount of professional learning opportunities out there seem pretty epic at the moment.
I love professional learning. Being inspired by what others are doing and sharing always gives me that extra kick to keep going. Here is a list of new opportunities to learn about school libraries. I hope this list of webinars, podcasts, resources and articles has something for you.
What are you learning about? I’d love to hear what’s caught your interest recently. For me, it’s design learning, innovation and creativity. But, no matter what you’re learning or how you like to learn, I hope this list of webinars, podcasts, resources and articles has something for you.
The School Library Association of Victoria is holding their third Reading Forum on the 28th of July, 2022. I’m honoured to be presenting alongside some incredible librarians, authors and reading professionals.
It’s time for, yep you guessed it, more PD. Still addicted to professional learning? Still wanting to up skill? Still trying to improve your practice? You sound like a school librarian. And this month, I’ve got you covered with heaps of webinars, articles, podcasts and more to elevate your school library. This month, I’ve been following along on Twitter as librarians around the world travel to conferences. The links and resources below will enable you to experience awesome learning, even if you can’t travel or visit in-person events.
If you are in the Northern Hemisphere, you are probably finding all those lost books, putting together your end of year report and generally finishing up for the year. Down here in the Southern Hemisphere we are nearing the middle of the year. Whether you need some PD for your break or some inspiration to keep you going, I’ve got some reading, listening and viewing for you.
The start of a new month means just one thing…. It’s time for more professional learning. If you are like me, you still haven’t caught up on last month’s list. That’s okay – that’s kind of the point of me putting them all in a list so we can go back and access these resources whenever we can. I’d love to hear from you if you have registered for an event or have recently listened to a great podcast or read a great article so I can include it and share it in the next list. Until then, happy learning.
I’m excited to share that I am teaming up with ASLA for a webinar this April, 2022 all about Building Wellbeing in the School Library.
The start of April means the start of school holidays here in Queensland. I don’t know about you, but I am ready to just take a break for a week. If you are continuing work or maybe looking to do a bit of professional learning during your break, I have a wide range of webinars, reports, podcasts and Twitter threads to you to enjoy.
Well, March is upon us. Already the year seems to be slipping by. The upside is another month means another great range of webinars, posts and resources perfect for professional learning, meeting your professional goals.
