Book Week 2025: Bookmarks, T-Shirts and Tote bags

The CBCA Children’s Book Week is an epic celebration in school libraries and classrooms across the country.  The theme for 2025 is Book An Adventure.

You can purchase merchandise with the official CBCA Book Week artwork from the CBCA store, and download the free official artwork resources from the CBCA website. As well as purchasing these products and using the free resources provided by CBCA, I like create my own designs for students to get creating in the library space and make their own bookmarks, t-shirts, and book bag totes.

Bookmarks

Bookmarks are super popular in my school library. They quickly grab any new designs we put out. I have created a set of Book An Adventure bookmarks. I print these on cardboard to share them with students.  Download the PDF here.

T-shirts and book bag totes

It has become a tradition in our school to create Book Week t-shirts for the staff each year. Staff bring in their own shirts for us to add the design. We also run lunchtime activities where students can create their own tote bags. I purchase plain tote bags from Spotlight. The basic cotton bags are cheap and make the perfect base for HTV designs.

You’ll find instructions here on how to download the file, upload it to Cricut Design Space, alter the design, cut and heat transfer the design.
