March 2015

March 2015 – A great month for book releases. Here are some that have caught my eye.

Orphan Queen

The Orphan Queen – Jodi Meadows – Katherine Tegen Books – Published 10 March 2015

Great fantasy with a complex and engaging plot and well-built fantasy world. And there are spies. Did I mention that? Along with magic, hidden identities and secret plots.

Young adult fiction. Fantasy. Adventure.

By Your Side

By Your Side – Candace Calvert – Tyndale – Published 1 March 2015

A great contemporary romance with a fair helping of action and suspense. One of my favourites.

Fiction. Christian. Contemporary. Romance. Medical. Suspense.

20443207The Winner’s Crime – Marie Rutkoski – Winner’s Trilogy #2 – Published 3 March 2015

A heart-stopping book. Intrigue, court life, games, battle, deception and a tangled net that is woven tighter around each of the players.

Young Adult Fiction. Fantasy.

24374784Shadow Study – Maria V. Snyder – Shadow #1, Study #4 – Harlequin Teen – Published 1 March 2015 (Published February in some countries).

Possibly the most awaited book of the month. Year. Well, for me. It lived up to all expectations and more. Awesome. Brilliant. Wonderful. Long-awaited. Satisfying. Everything-I-Was-Hoping-For. Now to wait for the next one.

Fiction/Young Adult Fiction. Fantasy and Magic. Adventure.

breaking skyBreaking Sky – Cori McCarthy – Sourcebooks Fire – 10 March 2015

Breaking Sky grabs you from the very first few lines – and doesn’t let go.

There are tense moments and high-risk flying manoeuvres, romance, friendship and humour. Cori McCarthy expertly combines flying lingo and details, base politics and teen interactions, and creates a suspenseful and dramatic read. Highly enjoyed.

Young Adult Fiction. Action and Adventure. Science Fiction.

JadedJaded – Varina Denman – Mended Hearts #1 – David C. Cook – Published 1 March 2015

A beautiful and surprising book about a young woman’s struggle to see past the judgemental treatment of her family. Jaded is both honest and hopeful.

Fiction. Christian. Contemporary. Romance.

Becoming RainBecoming Rain – K.A. Tucker – Burying Water #2 – Atria Books – Published 3 March 2015

This is one for lovers of new adult books, and one I have yet to read. I loved Burying Water and can’t wait to see where this one goes.

New Adult Fiction. Romance.

Start of me and youThe Start of Me and You – Emery Lord – Bloomsbury – Published 31 March 2015.

Another one I can’t wait for. It sounds great – high school, love, second chances, grief and a sweet nerdy guy.

Young adult fiction. Contemporary.
